Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Northumbria Police have shown their continued support over to the military community over several years and have the Armed Forces Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award. The Employer Recognition Scheme encompasses Bronze, Silver and Gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to Defence and the Armed Forces’ community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. We achieved Gold status in 2025. We are located in a beautiful area of the country stretching from the Scottish borders down to County Durham which is ideal for resettlement and family life.
