About us
We operate a drop-in centre three days a week plus one evening where we hold a Health and Wellbeing Service run by a nurse practitioner. During an average week we can have up to 140 Veterans and their families visiting the centre. The support we offer is quite varied we have our own in house SSAFA case worker, monthly visits by DWP, Veterans UK, Walking with the Wounded, NHS and the Defence medical welfare service thrive together programme, along with many others.
We have our own minibus, and we arrange monthly trips to places of interest in the UK in addition to Battlefield tours to places in Europe. We hold a number of workshops including copper smithing, bee keeping, Models for Hero’s, and a cooking programme for healthy eating and diet. We are a very busy proactive charity and are always looking for volunteers from helping in the day to day running of the centre, drivers, and those who collect on fundraising events.
