SGS Colerne is a Satellite Ground Station providing secure communications and making up part of the Skynet 5 team within Serco. Within this team, we are currently recruiting for a 2nd Line Maintenance Engineer.
In this role you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of manual jobs in working with the SGS Maintenance and Support Manager towards a day support function to Skynet 5 operations across the Satellite Ground Station.
Working with a skilled Maintenance and Engineering function, you will help ensure the constant operations at the site including investigating and monitoring faults with the Electronic Communications equipment as well as working across scheduled maintenance tasks and work.
What you need to do the job:
Working across a range of systems and equipment, this is a role for an experienced Electrical Engineer who can be adaptable and comfortable in working directly with customers and stakeholders.
You must hold a formal Electronics qualification, such as and HNC or HND and would ideally also hold experience within a SATCOM environment. It's vital that you have previous expereince within a Electronics Communications enviroment.
