Job Description

The main purpose of the role of Study Coach is to work with our dedicated learning support team, providing support to students who have additional educational needs and difficulties. Some of these will include, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Global learning delay, Hearing impaired and visual impairment, to name a few.

This is a fast paced working environment, where no two days are the same. Working as part of a team is of great importance to us, as is progression and the opportunity to upskill through the many CPD program's that are offered in the department.

You will be based within Group Learning Support faculty, working with identified students with learning needs. You will be working alongside the tutor and will liaise with them on a lesson by lesson basis. The role also includes some admin work, tracking, attending weekly meetings with learning support and undergoing regular CPD. 

This is a full time, permanent contract, working term time only. The hourly rate offered for this position is £10.99ph.  

Term time only salary calculator - your pay will be based on your working hours per week, multiplied by the number of weeks worked, plus 6 weeks holiday and will be spread equally over 12 months.

 

What do you need to be successful in this role? 

We are seeking like-minded individuals who would contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment, by providing individualised coaching and support to learners with identified barriers to learning, using a range of support models. 

Support will take place in differing learning environments including within the classroom, 1:1 and in small groups. Strong team values, a desire to innovate within the learning experience, and the ability to adapt flexibly to the changing needs of learners are essential. 

A minimum requirement of GCSE Math and English at grade C/4 or equivalent are also an essential requirement for this role.
