Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

As National Account Manager for one of our most prestigious contracts, you will have overall accountability for various sites across the North . You will be travelling  to ensure sites are meeting all SLA agreed with the client. You will develop and lead a team of direct reports within this contract which spans multiple nationally, your focus will be to provide exceptional service to our clients and customers at all times. You will manage client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner, ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to. You will drive foodservice and innovation, and support service solutions that exceed new and existing customer requirements.

  • Deliver the profit for the contract through leading the managers in delivery of their financial targets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage labour costs to budget
  • Ensure high quality food offers and innovation is a main focus
  • Ensure team are coached, developed and supported to achieve targets
  • Challenge and continually review labour structures and ratios
  • Review trends and adjust consumable budgets accordingly
  • Ensure compliance to Compass Group policies
  • Communicate strategy to team and ensure that improvements are implemented to maximise performance and customer satisfaction
  • Build cross-sector and cross-functional relationships to enhance business efficiencies
  • Monitor and review HSE incidents and corrective and preventative actions in all sites under their control.

  • Multi-unit contract catering/catering business experience a must
  • Essential to have experience managing turnover in £million plus
  • Ability to take complex business issues or initiatives and apply creative problem solving or strategies for timely implementation
  • Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and interact with all levels within the organisation
  • Strong passion for great food and hospitality
  • A proven track record as an innovative and financially responsible manager
  • A proven track record of leadership
  • Proven industry contacts and relationships that can be leveraged in networking and recruitment of other team members
  • Proven ability to enhance profitability, sustainability and creativity across all channels in alignment with business strategy
  • Proven coaching and teaching skills with peers, individuals, and teams
  • Ability to speak and present effectively in a group setting
  • Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
