Position: Accounts Assistant

  • Comply with standing orders;
  • Assist with weekly cash forecasting to Group;
  • Record / Code income and expenditure in the cash book;
  • Raise both contract and sundry sales invoices;
  • Monitor and chase outstanding contract and sundry sales invoices;
  • Assist in ensuring month end transactions are processed in line with agreed timetable;
  • Assist in producing all control account reconciliations monthly;
  • Assist senior Finance team in ensuring company meets Groups reporting timetable and external deadlines;
  • Liaise with Finance Shared Service centre to raise manual and cheque payments;
  • Assist in reconciling key balance sheet accounts monthly;
  • Processing sales completions in Marble sales system;
  • Liaise with Sales department regarding plot reservations and completions;
  • Create good working relationships by acting in a respectful and professional manner at all times;
  • Remain approachable and helpful;
  • Ensure good team spirit is maintained within department and wider company;
  • Ensure Required information is accurate and produced in a timely manner;
  • Demonstrate business objectives and culture through personal actions;
  • Assist in completing month end cut off process.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Previous accounts experience;
  • Must be IT literate with thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Efficient and professional approach with the ability to multi-task;
  • Possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills;
  • General willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic and flexible;
  • Able to work as an individual and as part of a team.
