Job Description

As our Accounts Assistant you will support and work closely with our Financial Controller, who in turn supports our Head Office Accounts Department.

You will play a key role within the finance department and it is vital that you posess traits such as credibility, diligence with the ability to handle sensitive information.

Sedgebrook Hall is located in the charming village of Chapel Brampton in the heart of the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside and set in 13 acres of picturesque gardens. The original manor house is a spectacular sight to see and the grounds are ideal for getting a breath of fresh air.

  • Processing daily banking from Restaurant, Bar & Reception and corrections/variances
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Sales Ledger
  • Bank transfer allocations
  • Input of daily revenue figures and reconciliation
  • Daily data input to Excel documents
  • Issue of Purchase Orders
  • Assist with stocktaking
  • HR, payroll & wage forecast
  • Cost control
  • Debt recovery
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Producing Excel spreadsheets and word documents
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Investigating and resolving finance queries
Who you are:
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Outlook (Microsoft Office)
  • Numerically minded
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated, a quick learner with a can-do attitude
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Highly organised, with dedication to your work to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and that all daily/weekly/monthly deadlines are met.
  • Good working knowledge of one or more of the following:  SAP, Opera, Foodbuy, 3C Payments is desirable
  • Hotel Accounts/Admin experience would be advantageous
