As one of our Aeronautical Engineering Apprentices you will develop the skills you need to join a team that is vital in ensuring the safe and efficient arrival, turnaround and departure of aircraft.

The role involves highly skilled, complex and specialist work, maintaining aircraft systems according to approved work instructions and accurately completing aircraft documentation. You won't be doing it alone though - you will be provided with unparalleled support throughout the duration of your programme by working alongside your colleagues, attending college, and getting hands on experience.

Serco has a strong commitment to apprentices and training, and as a successful Serco apprentice we'll continue to support your development throughout your apprenticeship.

About you

Firstly, you'll need to have a Grade B or above (Grade 9 - 6 under new grading structure) in Maths as well as a Grade A-C in English, Science and one additional subject (Grade 9-4 under new structure) and have a strong interest in Aircraft Engineering.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for somebody who is, enthusiastic, confident, determined and hardworking and who is happy to constantly learn and develop new skills with an interest in Aircraft Engineering. You will be proactive, resourceful and efficient with a can-do attitude and committed to Serco's Values of Trust, Care, Innovation and Pride. Your good time management will be vital in ensuring aircraft are maintained and repaired in line with deadlines.

A world of opportunity: You'll not only get the great mix of on-the-job experience and class taught learning you'd expect from an apprenticeship, but you'll also be working for a company that is committed to ongoing development and opportunity - with many of our apprentices going on to complete further apprentice and professional qualifications throughout their career with us.

Great people: Everyone has an important role to play, from caring for vulnerable people to managing complex public services.
