You do not need to have any experience as full training will be provided as part of the Apprenticeship. This is ideal for a school leaver or someone wanting a career change. Apprenticeship are for everyone regardless of age!
Over a 12 month period you will have completed a Facilities Management Level 2 Apprenticeship.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a vision to progress their career into a Facilities Supervisory or Management role. Maybe you are someone with cleaning experience and wanting to take your career to the next level.
The purpose of this role is for you to become trained and experienced at the domestic frontline level with the vision for you to progress into a Supervisory and then eventually a management role. We are looking for someone who wishes to progress and develop their career with us over the next 2-3 years. Year 1 is for you complete the Facilities Management Level 2 Apprenticeship. Following the successful completion, we have the view for you to then progress onto the Facilities Management Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship so that you learn and develop the supervisory skills required. We also offer higher management Apprenticeships which may then be a suitable option for you.
WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?
An apprenticeship is a funded programme where an individual learns new skills, knowledge and behaviours in a chosen sector. An apprenticeship will enable you to work and earn a wage whilst developing and gaining new skills as an employee.
Alongside your day to day duties, you will complete the Facilities Management Level 2 Apprenticeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification and it is designed to learn and understand how to support the range of operations. You will be supported through this qualification by your Personal Development Coach who will visit you at your place work every 6-10 weeks. HOURS/WORKING PATTERN: 5 days per week. 08:00-16:30

Working as part of the Support Services (Domestic) team at DMRC - Stamford the overall Purpose of the Role is to enhance the customer experience by effectively carrying out a range of clinical and non-clinical cleaning duties in accordance with the client service level agreement and company standards & procedures Who you are:
To carry out the various daily, weekly & periodic cleaning duties required under the contract service level agreement and follow the cleaning schedule as directed by your line manager
To ensure you are aware of & comply with all client & company health & safety procedures and standards at all times e.g. COSHH, uniforms & PPE, Manual handling, Fire procedures
To ensure that any health & safety hazards, issues, near misses & accidents are reported to your Manager at the earliest opportunity
To maintain a clean, safe & hygienic working environment at all times
To achieve the relevant cleaning quality & productivity targets
Cleaning duties are physical activities which will include pushing cleaning trolleys, bed making, manual handling and using cleaning equipment in line with health & safety training
To actively participate in any team meetings & training as required by sharing your knowledge & experience with other team members
To follow the company cleaning procedures whilst seeking opportunities to do things better, raising suggestions with your line manager to ensure we continuously improve our operation and seek to improve our One Best Way service procedures
To ensure all equipment provided is used, maintained & stored correctly in line with the operating instructions and company procedures & report any defects to your Line Manager
To comply with any reasonable requests made by your Line Manager including working in areas other than those to which you are accustomed
To learn and demonstrate the ESS Way behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers & clients
This will not have any supervisory or management responsibilities

Eligibility Questionnaire - the questions asked here will determine if we can claim funding for your apprenticeship training with our training provider and the rules for this are set out in the ESFA funding rules 2018/2019.
Initial Assessments - These are positioning tests in English and Maths. Whilst they do not directly affect your eligibility for the apprenticeship they provide us with your current level of learning and help us build an individual learner journey. This will establish if you are working at the required level in Maths & English that is needed in order for you to complete the learning within your chosen apprenticeship.
