Our Facilities Management team are looking for an Apprentice Facilities Service Operative to work as part of the Central Facilities Management Team.
About the role
The Apprentice Facilities Operations Officer will be supporting the Facilities Manager in the day to day management and operation of the council’s main hub and supporting the building users/occupiers located in other council premises located within the central area.
You will fulfil various duties that are key to meeting the day to day core business needs of our building users and customers, working under your own initiative with problem-solving skills to tight deadlines.
You will ensure all aspects of the services provided by Facilities Management (to include elements of post, hygiene, stationery provision, cleanliness, security, porterage etc.), together with providing the logistical services required by our building users, are all carried out to the highest possible standard.
Excellent interpersonal skills and physical fitness, attention to detail and a ‘can do’ approach is key to delivering the requirements of this challenging and rewarding customer focussed role. You will need to have a full driving licence, good IT skills and a flexible approach to your working hours. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile team.
This is an exciting role which provides the opportunity to develop skills and experience of working within Facilities Management and gaining a level 2 qualification in Facilities services.
The apprenticeship is on the Level 2 Level 2 Facilities Service Operative Apprenticeship which takes approximately 12 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training, supported by a local training provider.
