Here in Cambridge, we’re creating and maintaining a resilient, healthy and diverse urban forest for the future that respects Cambridge’s unique character, responds to climate change and urban expansion and underpins the health, liveability and well-being of the city and its inhabitants.

Now we need you to play your part in the development and delivery of a high performing, value for money, customer-focused arboricultural service for the City Council and its partners. You will ensure we fulfil our duties in managing our tree stock while supporting the establishment of a high quality, safe and sustainable public realm environment.

You’ll come to us with experience of arboricultural management for a local authority together with expert knowledge of tree species, tree health, the identification of pests and diseases, tree planting and arboricultural best practice. Your flair for tree survey and inspection, analysing risks and recommending action will stand out.

If you have good organisational and interpersonal skills then we want to hear from you.  In return we can offer excellent employee benefits which include flexible working, family friendly policies, a generous annual leave allowance, access to the highly valued Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), travel benefits, health & well-being initiatives, employee support scheme and learning and development opportunities.
