An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) team in Treasury, who are responsible for the management of interest rate risk in San UK. You'll be responsible for modelling and analysing the bank's balance sheet, analysing the inherent risks and its exposure to changes in rates.

To be successful as our Asset and Liability Manager you'll need to have experience modelling balance sheet products and calibrating assumptions used for the management of interest rate risk in the banking book.

The difference you'll make.

  • Modelling and analysing Interest rate risk in San UK balance sheet with the aim of providing crucial MI to enable hedging decisions that go into managing the bank's Structural Hedge

  • Identifying new risks in the SAN UK balance sheet including yield curve, basis and re-fix risks

  • Performing various interest rate risk and liquidity stresses on the balance sheet providing insights on metric changes and key drivers

  • Analysing repricing, prepayment and runoff assumptions with a view of determining Core liabilities

  • Providing MI/analysis for ALCO, Treasury forum, and other committees and ad-hoc analysis for exec committee members

  • Ensuring that there is alignment between the ALM management and Risk models and the financial planning process

  • Reviewing new product launches/ product changes and their impacts on IRRBB data and modelling

What you'll bring.

  • Experience of Balance Sheet Management/IRRBB modelling (using QRM, Bancware)

  • Proven analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Knowledge of ALM

  • Experience of Business Objects and/or SAS

  • Capacity to work under aggressive deadlines; values teamwork and partnering

  • The ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across all Banking divisions and at all levels.

This is a full-time permanent position based in London offering flexible working between office and home.
