Position: Assistant Site ManagerLocation: Central Middlesex HospitalSalary: £35,000 PA
Are you a dedicated and experienced manager with a passion for delivering high-quality service in a healthcare setting? We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Central Middlesex Hospital. 
This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the needs of the Company, Client, and Customers. You will take ownership for the deployment of resources to meet the needs of the Company, Client, and Customer. Responsible for delivering a quality service that meets or exceeds Company and client performance standards. Accountable for the performance of Colleagues and Supervisors within the site. To deputise for the site General Manager in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:Service Delivery:
  • Represent the site General Manager in their absence, managing the site and serving as the primary contact for the Client.
  • Thoroughly understand contractual SLAs, taking ownership of service delivery in-line with the contract SLA.
  • Ensure consistency in service provision by covering Supervisors in their absence.
  • Collaborate with site Supervisors to ensure compliance with all processes and procedures.
  • Oversee efficient allocation of Colleagues and Supervisors on shift and prepare for following shifts.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of Supervisor activities within the site.
  • Conduct regular visits to wards/departments to ensure safe operations in line with the SLA.
  • Perform regular service audits and monitor standards, seeking continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Proactively identify and address shortfalls in service delivery, escalating as appropriate.
  • Identify ways to reduce labor while maintaining standards.
  • Support the site General Manager with process implementation and documentation.
  • Investigate Datix reports and complaints, responding professionally and timely.
  • Assist the site General Manager with new technology implementation and other innovations.
  • Be flexible with duties to meet Company, Client, and customer needs.
  • Undertake the role of On-Call senior manager for the contract on a roster basis.
  • Perform any reasonable and practical instructions as requested by the Contract Director/General Manager.
Health, Safety, & Environment:
  • Implement and maintain Company and Trust policies and procedures according to current legislation to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork, including cleaning schedules, audits, and safety management systems.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly checks to ensure compliance with HSE procedures.
  • Report, record, and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Represent the site at HSE meetings.
Human Resources:
  • Lead by example, behaving professionally and inspiring confidence in your team.
  • Promote a culture of personal accountability to deliver exceptional services.
  • Recognize and reward outstanding performance using company recognition schemes.
  • Identify training needs and development opportunities for colleagues and supervisors.
  • Address performance shortfalls of Colleagues and Supervisors, escalating as needed.
  • Implement Company policies, including performance management, absence management, and induction processes.
  • Understand and make decisions based on the financial requirements of the service.
  • Collaborate with the site General Manager to understand and implement the budget.
  • Oversee the roster, ensuring adequate coverage, and authorizing overtime in-line with the budget.
  • Manage the ordering, distribution, and control of stock in accordance with Company policy.
Relationship Management:
  • Uphold Company values and act as an Ambassador for the Company.
  • Develop strong communication and relationships at all levels within the team, Client, and customers.
  • Support a culture of inclusion, fairness, respect, and courtesy.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of complaints/requests.
  • Support and encourage Colleagues and Supervisors to develop their skills and potential.
  • Maintain confidentiality to protect the Company's best interests.
