Role Summary

The post holder will be responsible for participating in the weekly technical cleaning standards inspections of Domestic Services, including a selection of clinical and non-clinical areas as frequencies laid down in NSC NHS 2021.

The post holder will assist the Training and Audit Department Manager in helping to support the HODs and their Assistant Managers in reviewing monitoring systems to ensure that their departments operate in an efficient and cost effective manner.

To be responsible for observing and recording the safe use of equipment by Domestic, Catering, Portering and Waste services staff.

Will monitor all aspects of Health & Safety, COSHH and other relevant legislation to ensure that they are properly observed by Domestic staff. 

On a weekly basis collate and input all audit form data returned by the Ward Housekeepers.  These audits will include: cleaning, catering, ward environment and waste management.

Will maintain and update paper based records and information as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Facilities Team.

As an Audit Monitoring Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager to ensure the facilities team and the hospital as a whole can function to its maximum efficiency. You will be a motivated, organised individual with an enthusiasm for teamwork, and a keen eye for identifying problems, as well as undertaking audit tasks as a key function of the role. 

Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week.

Interview Date: Wednesday 18th Thursday 19th September 2024.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
