What you'll do

You’ll apply widely agreed software engineering principles and methodologies to design, develop, test and maintain applications and services to achieve the stated business and technology goals within required budgets and timelines. We’ll also look to you to oversee the quality of work, making sure that it meets the technical standards for all services output.

You’ll also:

  • Align to the organisation’s architectural direction and principles, and make sure that the applications and services being built adhere to them

  • Liaise with lead engineers, architects, business analysts and other key stakeholders to understand the objectives and requirements

  • Support well thought out estimates after a thorough consideration of design, build and testing of complexity and maintainability and serviceability

  • Design and develop high-volume, high-performance and high-availability applications using proven frameworks and technologies

The skills you'll need

We are looking for an Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) with a minimum of four years’ practical experience and a demonstrable knowledge of transactional modules such as stock exchange, corporate events, money markets etc.

You’ll also need:

  • Excellent SQL skills (Oracle PL/SQL a must and Microsoft T-SQL good to have)

  • Experience with any of Avaloq's tax modules a distinct advantage

  • Great team player with corresponding communication skills

  • Strong English, both spoken and written, German beneficial

  • Understanding of UK taxation preferred
