Liddington Ward is looking for highly motivated Band 5 nurse to join our experienced and friendly team at Great Western Hospital, Swindon.
Liddington Ward is a purpose built 10 bedded dementiaassessment unit, providing comprehensive support for patients and their carers during a challenging phase of their illness. The ward is situated at The Victoria Centre on the Great Western Hospital site. All patients have their own bedroom with en-suite facilities. Service users also have access to a therapy kitchen, Art Room, gym, and an OT activity room and garden.
You should be innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic to be a part of a team who are continually looking to improve the standards of care offered to service users. You will be part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team which prides itself on the person centred approach and strong team ethic.

We are able to provide a comprehensive Preceptorship package for newly qualified RMNs and have opportunities for experienced staff to undertake specialist link roles of particular interest and develop clinical skills to enhance career progression. We consider this an excellent opportunity for newly qualified nurses or those returning to practice as well as established nurses looking to consolidate knowledge in this field.
Swindon is a large town situated in the North East of Wiltshire. It has a large pedestrian town Centre, a fabulous designer outlet store, lots of sports and leisure facilities, and the beautiful Coate Water Country Park which is a 5 minute drive from the hospital. Swindon is also famous for its Magic Roundabout, 5 mini round abouts within one large one and has excellent public transport services. The GWH site is easily accessible from the M4 and provides a number of on-site facilities, including parking.
