This post will work alongside the Clinical Lead in Bristol Locality to ensure robust governance processes to support the quality of clinical services.

The post holder will be responsible for leading particular strands of service development and ensuring delivery against key milestones targets. The post holder must have excellent project management skills and be capable of managing complex human relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. 

You will demonstrate extensive comprehension of operational and quality
improvement methodology, and will work closely with other teams to close gaps and mitigate risks where opportunities exist. Leading, influencing, and developing quality improvement and change management skills and competencies within the teams worked with, and provide improvement coaching to the teams. 

 

Main duties of the job

 

The post will be required to work across the whole locality depending on need. Bristol Locality provides  secondary mental health services in both inpatient and community settings for adults and older adults. This includes Community  Assessment & Recovery Teams,  Crisis services, Early Intervention, acute hospital liaison, and wards for adult and older adult service users including Acute, Later Life, PICU & Rehab.

Key areas of responsibility are ensuring the embedding of learning from experience into teams and wards. This will include management and oversight of actions arising from investigations into serious untoward incidents, complaints and other informal intelligence.

Ensuring that changes in practice arising from learning are embedded over time and carrying out complex investigations where required.
