About the role
Here at Babcock International we're in search of three Bid Coordinators to join our team working on vast, complex Aviation bids ranging from £200M to in excess of £1B. Babcock's UK Military Air bid team is a newly formed function within the fastest growing sector of Babcock International Group. It's tasked with being the exemplar for bidding best practice, wining business in efficient and effective ways. With principal customers being the RAF, the Royal Navy, and the Army, its goal is to be the most successful bid team operating in the UK Defence Industry.
As the Bid Coordinator you will be responsible for managing bid office support to the development and production of the Pre-qualification, bid submission and associated outputs in accordance with the bid schedule.
You will assist and cover for the Bid Manager when necessary, including: produce and maintaining the book plan, Customer question, project timeline, production schedule and project briefs. You will be able to interface with both internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance within the bid cycle.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have experience in either a bids or project support role and the ability to think on your feet, deliver to tight deadlines and work to your own initiative.
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
- Experience working within a fast paced environment.
- Understanding of the project lifecycle including cost, time and risk.
Lastly, you'll need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills as you'll work closely with the client and our internal and external stakeholders.
What else do I need to know?
- Some UK travel may be expected in supporting sites.
- The role will be based in Bristol or Portsmouth.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role and will also need to complete a medical assessment
