About the role

Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Bid Coordinator.

Babcock International is a leading British engineering support services organisation operating and employing over 35,000 employees all over the world. Babcock's Aviation sector (babcockinternational.com/aviation) has unrivalled civil and defence, fixed and rotary-wing, training, and operational aviation expertise and experience across 14 countries globally. Aerial Emergency Services (AES) is the civilian branch of our Aviation sector specialising in the delivery of Aerial medical emergency services, Aerial Firefighting and Search and Rescue services.

In order to maintain our market leader position and support our international growth ambition, AES is building a central Business Development and Bidding capability.

As a Bid coordinator you will be part of an international, driven and fast moving team. You will work on various opportunities across our 3 lines of business and will be responsible for supporting the Bid Manager(s) through all phases of the bids from pre-tender preparation to final submission.

This role, where proactive, organised and curious individuals will strive is designed with the view to be the entry point for a quick evolution toward a bid manager role.

Frequent travel for short and medium duration will be involved.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the bid office to support the development and production of the Pre-qualification, bid submission and associated outputs in accordance with the bid schedule
  • Assist and cover for the Bid Manager when necessary, including: produce and maintaining the book plan, Customer question, project timeline, production schedule and project briefs
  • Communicate with bid stakeholders and ensure updates are cascaded amongst the bid team
  • Arrange, prepare and set up meetings and take and distribute records of decisions
  • Setup and maintain the bid SharePoint to include: creation of folders, libraries, manage permissions, bid data, document storage, version control and retrieval
  • Ensure the management of bid material complies with security policies and guidelines
  • Research information and support business analysis to support the bid as requested
  • Prepare the bid style guide and document response templates.

What do I need to do the role?

  • Experience bid, project management or Business analysis
  • Experience in using the MS Office suite (use of SharePoint, Visio and Project are not necessary)
  • Written and spoken English mandatory, other language desirable
  • Highly organised and detailed oriented
  • Able to communicate and engage effectively with International teams
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

What else do I need to know?

Need to be able to work in UK but don't need to already have the right - In case that makes a difference, we're open to people not currently in UK.

Frequent travel for short and medium duration will be involved.
