We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst experienced with Tableau and Excel to join our Road Logistics business!!

YOUR ROLE

The Business Analyst role is a newly formed role and key to ensuring high quality and data consistency across all reporting dashboards and support the client with issues concerning reporting. The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating and managing reporting dashboards based on Road Logistics needs to connect finance and operational data. As a Business Analyst you will be working closely with the department managers to agree and define key components of dashboards in terms of content and desired formats. You will continuously analyse reporting metrics and parameters, to enable insights into business trends and offer solutions to improve reporting clarity, efficiency and will ensure visibility of all finance and cost items to support the management team in decision making, presenting them in a structured and consistent manner.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve a full understanding of the Road finance and warehouse/ transport management systems;
  • To provide information as and when required to support the business using all tools available (Tableau, MS Excel, MS Query, SQL, VBA);
  • Producing daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly annual reports and statistics in line with agreed requirements;
  • Maintain data to ensure information is correct and easily accessible;
  • Conduct analytic investigations based on generated reports, metrics and KPIs to understand trends, patterns, relationships between various data and generate insights;
  • Working closely with financial controller, master data & operational leads to ensure that reports properly reflect the business requirements;
  • Track reporting requests (internal/external) and update reporting logic based on evolving business needs;
  • Facilitate design of the reporting dashboards in terms of finance and operational productivity, supply chain parameters and performance metrics;
  • Provide trainings on proper usage and interpretations of created dashboards internally and externally.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Previous business analytics experience with a proven background and affinity with data analysis techniques (using data to identify trends and offer solutions);
  • High level of MS Office user skills (in particular Excel, PowerPoint) and a proven affinity with IT system related activities;
  • Dashboard visualization software competence e.g. Tableau, Click etc.;
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to details with a systematic and methodical approach to work;
  • VB for Microsoft Office;
  • Experience of data warehousing and ETL concepts desirable;
  • Experience of writing SQL desirable;
  • Strong self-management skills with an ability to deliver results within agreed deadlines;
  • Ability of multi-tasking and dealing with different internal / external stakeholders at all levels.
