Business Support Co-ordinator  

Peterborough City Council

Full time (37 hours per week) Monday to Friday


Starting salary from £18,500 per annum


Here at Serco we're looking for a Business Support Co-ordinator to join us at Peterborough City Council. Reporting into the Business Support Team Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and co-ordinating meetings. This will include taking referrals, managing multiple diaries for those meetings, organising room bookings, attendee invites and liaising with all relevant professionals.

The Business Support Co-ordinator must ensure the end to end process is completed in producing and distributing high quality plans and accurate minutes ranging from action points to highly complex detailed minutes. You must also ensure any follow up actions from meetings, conferences and panels including drafting formal and informal plans or any other agreements or formal notices are completed.

Administrative tasks will include using and maintaining accurate records, systems and database spreadsheets using a variety of client systems, to enable effective and useful information, reports and statistics to be provided. You will also use a financial management system to raise purchase orders and invoices including all processes to facilitate receipt of services/goods or payment to suppliers, and monitor receipt of customer POs to match with existing assignments.

You will also help with visitors/telephone callers on behalf of a variety of clients, ensuring that they are dealt with in a professional and effective manner, and resolved, redirected or recorded as appropriate.

What you'll need to do the role

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar administrative or business support role. Strong communication, organisational and IT skills are also required for this role. Having experience in minute taking is also highly beneficial.
