You will be accountable for the following:
Monitor and review working practices with Department managers to ensure Business Service levels level agreement
Provide ad hoc departmental management support for any of FM services at Kings College Hospital (present requirement is for Patient Catering)
Effectively manage all department supervisors and frontline personnel throughout the FM services (Patient Catering - but also Portering /Housekeeping if required)
Review business performance and ensure delivery of key performance indicators (KPI's) in line with contractual requirements for Patient Catering department (or other FM departments).
Demonstrate commercial thought leadership in line with Compass Commitments and overall business strategy.
To supervise, co-ordinate, motivate train and work with the team to provide a quality service.
Adhere to Trusts Infection Control Policy.
To inspect, record and monitor and if required take action to ensure that the highest standards are maintained (complying with Health & Safety, Medirest and Trust policies) and report feedback to your Line Manager.
To assist in the security of stock at all times and to ensure that an effective system of recording stock movements is maintained.
To comply with all food safety and Health and Safety legislation which is laid out in the companies Health and Safety Manual (COSHH procedures in the selection, use and recovery of cleaning chemical and manual handling etc
To report all maintenance issues and hazards to your Line Manager and through the Trust/Medirest system. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Senior management experience leading and inspiring operational teams to deliver results
At least 3 years operational experience of managing in at least one functional area with experience of managing a multi-service operation.
Required to be proactive in their approach and quick to react to client needs.
The ability to prioritise and balance multiple projects and deadlines is a key requirement for the role.
Needs to be able to work alone on own initiative and take decisions.
Needs to be able to deal with challenging situations
