We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual who will work closely with the Head of Service as part of the service leadership team to deliver sustainable business and information systems improvements enabling the service to function in an efficient and adaptable way to respond to the significant increase in scale of delivery.
The role will be responsible for establishing and implementing systems for service business improvements across performance management, programme/project management and budget matters.
You should be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt and improve business procedures, have experience of working in a delivery focused environment with an emphasis on community benefits and outcomes.
This post is offered as temporary part time position for an initial 6 month period. The hours of work are 18.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, with working pattern to be agreed. This post is temporary. The postholder will be able to work partly from home or from council premises or other locations as part of new hybrid working arrangements.
For internal applicants, this role can be a secondment opportunity. When this role comes to an end, a successful internal applicant will return to their substantive role. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to.
The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.
