Location: Leicester
Contract: Part time - 2 days per week
Salary: £24,600 - £32,700 pro rata
Sector: Education / Alternative Provision
DBS: Enhanced DBS required

The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for an experienced Careers Advisor / Careers Coordinator to lead and deliver high quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG).

This role will suit a qualified careers professional with experience supporting young people, including those with SEND and SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate CEIAG provision across primary, secondary and post 16 learners
  • Deliver 1:1 careers guidance and structured action plans
  • Ensure compliance with the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks and Ofsted expectations
  • Coordinate meaningful work experience and employer encounters
  • Develop relationships with employers, colleges, apprenticeship providers and universities
  • Support teaching staff to embed careers learning across the curriculum
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and report impact to senior leaders
  • Organise careers events, trips, assemblies and parent engagement activities

Essential Requirements

  • Level 6 (or above) Careers Guidance qualification
  • Experience delivering careers guidance in an educational or alternative provision setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and supporting vulnerable learners
  • Excellent communication, organisation and relationship building skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to work flexibly, with occasional evenings or weekends
