Based in Thomas Parker House, Lincoln, LN5 9DY

Part time (23 hours per week) post available, fixed contract for 12 months Mat Leave cover.
 

Fixed term contract for 12 months (maternity leave cover)

Salary, £20,350 per annum, pro rata 

 

Here at Serco we are looking for a Carer's Assessor to join their team within the Customer Service Centre based in Lincoln. As a member of the SERCO Carers Team you will be responsible for supporting unpaid carers via telephone assessment. 
 

This is a varied position, where no two days are the same. You will be supporting unpaid Carers over the telephone by adopting a whole family approach. This will include liaising with professionals and working closely with our partners in the Lincolnshire Carers Service.  You will be responsible for supporting Carers in their caring role with information and advice, carrying out  non-statutory and statutory Carer assessments, creating personalised support plans with the Carer, identifying unmet needs and how/who will meet these needs and carrying out appropriate reviews.
 

Hours to be agreed within the core service hours of 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
 

What you'll need to do the role

We are looking for someone with excellent time management & organisational skills as well as strong verbal and written communications skills. Candidates should have experience of working within a customer focused environment, a good understanding of the Care Act and have previous experience of carrying out assessments/support planning in a social care setting.
