Catering Group Manager - Reading

Salary: Up to £55,000 

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends. Christmas off due to close down.

As the Catering Group Manager in Aldermaston, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our catering operations across four units on-site. Your responsibilities include managing client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, while driving foodservice  solutions that exceed customer expectations. Your leadership, organizational skills, and culinary expertise will be crucial in delivering exceptional experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the strategy for growth and retention of new and existing business.
  • Develop long-term account plans and conduct rolling lifecycle reviews.
  • Oversee the sales team in developing financially sound bids and proposals.
  • Implement senior client review processes to identify additional sales/service opportunities.
  • Communicate strategies to the team and implement improvements to maximize performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide operational insight alongside strategic marketing plans to grow sales/services and deliver customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure purchasing complies with Compass Group UK & Ireland policies.
  • Manage labor costs above budget to the client through established policies.
  • Continually review labor structures and ratios, adjusting consumable budgets accordingly.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fully conversant with current Health and Safety and food safety regulations.
  • Experience in risk management, analysis, and reduction.
  • Managed senior-level third-party relationships.
