As our Catering Support Manager you will assist and manage both Operations Manager and Services/Logistics Manager.

Catering Support Manager

More about the role:
  • Control and ordering of disposables via a matrix per area and based up on cash sales
  • Set up and clear back of house area's for both Racing and Conference & Events
  • Maintenance reporting within fixed buildings
  • COSHH compliance
  • Management of movement of furniture and equipment to be ready for Racing and Conference & Events
  • Post event clear down/lock down
  • Receiving and checking all consumable orders for
  • Reporting all non-available products to ordering location
  • Transport booking with nominated suppliers
  • Cross referencing costs from external supplier's ensuring they are in line 
  • Special equipment quotes and costs
  • Analysis of units hired over a month period
  • Analysis and monitoring of transport costs
  • Management of purchase order's ensuring accurate completion for all purchases made
  • Stock take analysis
  • Management, upkeep and distribution of warehouse management system
  • Occasional help on the floor with picking and sorting
  • Race day assistance to ensure all equipment and products are delivered in place and managed ensuring the race day runs smoothly
  • Post event filing ensuring all relevant information is kept for future events
  • Filing of equipment information and service manuals
  • Stock management systems to be generated and managed according to management system
  • Managing effective and professional working relationships with all other team members of the logistics hub and the racecourse
  • Attendance of meetings for stock management and operations

Who you are:
  • Computer literacy is essential, but role specific training can be provided
  • Able to work alone and part of a team
  • Communication skills will be required to both internal and external companies
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Fit and active personality
  • Time keeping is essential for this position

This role will require earlier starts and later finishes to those stated above (accepting deliveries/sending transport away to other locations) at selected dates throughout the year. This will be discussed in advance.

Flexibility is expected and required for this role.

Uniform to be discussed and full PPE will be supplied.
