About this opportunity

This assignment is an 18 to 24 month engagement working as an Owner’s Engineer on an EPC project that will be built in Beaumont, TX.  Project is a small process plant with integrated support facilities. Project is funded and Detail Engineering is scheduled to start immediately.  Detail Engineering will be performed offshore and reviewed/commented on by Owner’s Engineer in the US.  Owner’s Engineer will be a work from home during the engineering phase (10 months) and then move to Beaumont, TX during the construction phase.

Discipline: Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

Minimum Requirement:
  • 10 years of professional Civil Engineering experience
  • BS Civil/Structural Engineering Degree from an accredited University
  • Registered Professional Civil Engineer in TX
Experience:
  • Establish design requirements for plant foundations, slope stability, retaining structures, and mitigation of geotechnical hazards.
  • Establish and confirm compliance with all applicable local and national codes/rules/regulations/standards
  • Establish requirements for plant drainage and access roads.
  • Review, comment and approve civil and structural plant design components (pipe racks, pipe bridges, foundations, roads, drainage, etc.) by offshore engineer
  • As Owner’s Engineer - responsible for all Civil/Geotechnical activities not as the engineer of record but instead as Owner’s representative.
