Join us as a Client Assets (CASS) Oversight Support Manager (12 Months)


  • Take on this collaborative role in which you’ll support senior management in overseeing compliance with client money and custody regulations for RBS Collective Investment Funds or NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services

  • You’ll maximise the protection of money and custody assets belonging to clients and escalate issues as necessary

  • Develop your asset management capabilities in a pivotal role with considerable stakeholder interaction and the opportunity to build your network across the bank
  • We're offering a base salary starting at £46,640 plus pension funding and benefit funding for this role
  • We're offering this role for an initial period of 12 months
  • Other locations may be considered for this role

What you'll do

As a CASS Oversight Support Manager, you’ll contribute to CASS strategy and performance through appropriate governance in areas of responsibility. You’ll make sure that effective controls are in place to reduce the possibility of regulatory and reputational damage to the group, as well as supporting the incident management process ensuring remediation is undertaken and monitoring plans updated as required.

Your role will also involve:

  • Maintaining robust oversight arrangements of client asset operational effectiveness in the relevant business areas

  • Assisting senior management with developing and delivering an effective oversight model
  • Managing relationships with operational areas of relevant outsourced entities to meet and exceed the requirements of FCA client assets rules
  • Exercising good judgement regarding changes to procedures and controls in client assets operational areas
  • Developing client assets oversight monitoring methodology in order to attain, and maintain, industry leading standards

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in an investment risk or operational control environment as well as in-depth knowledge of regulations and industry practice in connection with client asset and client money arrangements. A relevant investment management or securities qualifications will also be desirable.

You’ll also need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at a variety of levels
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and industry practice in connection with client asset and client money arrangements
  • Good knowledge of client asset regulatory requirements and an ability to apply them in practice
  • Knowledge of investment operations, collective investment fund management and/or depositary services would be advantageous
  • Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) from the CISI, or equivalent, is desirable
