Join us as a Cloud Platform Lead

  • We’re looking for an established leader to be accountable for all aspects of change, run and operational health of a given platform
  • You’ll be involved in the design, architecture, build, test, implementation, risk, security, stability, resilience, simplification, efficiency, service management and life-cycling of your platform

What you'll do

In this high-profile role, you’ll oversee your platform and own and create the platform technical road map with the right architecture, solutions and commercial value. We’ll look to you to manage the tensions inherent in working through the implementation of competing customer priorities with the right business leaders and business product owners. You’ll also play an integral part in managing your platform’s risk culture, making sure that risks are discussed and understood at every step.

In addition, you'll be working with other team members to design and execute the technical implementation of Azure Managed Cloud Solutions, as well as leading Odyssey Azure Cloud Solutions and providing technical escalation support. You'll be leading the evaluation and optimisation of current and emerging technologies that support our Azure Managed Cloud service offerings.

You’ll also be:

  • Recommending a solution that aligns with the customer’s business needs and requirements
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key technical contacts within the customer accounts and becoming a trusted adviser
  • Optimising the scheduling and sequencing of initiatives and achieving agreed targets for the cycle time, risk and cost profiles of your platform
  • Delivering, owning and maintaining the platform operational stability and performance of technology, including the maintenance of any applications, systems, utilities and tools
  • Making sure that business solutions are optimal to customer needs and the overall technology strategy and roadmap
  • Owning the financial, commercial and flow performance of the platform and proactively tracking, reporting and acting to drive the improvements
  • Delivering regulatory reporting and managing the relevant budgets provided

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with in-depth domain or platform product knowledge, experience and expertise, coupled with a strong commercial acumen and good collaboration and stakeholder management skills. In addition, you’ll need business and systems analytical skills, and a strong understanding of platform applications and services, with the ability to convert a business ask to a technical solution.

You’ll also be expected to have:

  • The ability to articulate pros and cons of the architecture decision across a wide spectrum of factors, including both technical and business
  • Hands-on experience with the continuity of operations and disaster recovery architecture and planning
  • Operational, risk management, financial management, collaboration and negotiation experience and expertise
  • Strong leadership skills, including Agile and servant leadership experience
  • Architecture, design and engineering skills
  • An expert understanding of running large complex projects spanning multiple teams and senior governance forums
  • Detailed knowledge of fund management data both structured and unstructured data used by depositaries and how this aligns to services provided by a depositary
  • Broad understanding of the regulation and business rules that need be complied with or undertaken by a depositary
  • Knowledge and experience in Data Governance
