Job Description

Serco provides a diverse range of public services to citizens on behalf of Local Authorities and central government, often with long-term partnerships spanning 30 years within Citizen Services. These range from the administration of major employment and health programmes, to managing major services in partnership with Local Authorities such as Leisure and Environmental Services.

Working as part of our Architecture Team we have a brand-new opportunity available for a Cloud Technical Consultant. This is a perm position, remote based position.

As an experienced technical specialist, you will have a specific focus on Microsoft Cloud solutions (Office365 / Azure).  You'll work on different sized projects, from inception to in-life and may support Architects with more complex design solutions. Reporting to the Solution Architect Lead and will be responsible for supporting technology change / project implementation across a variety of Microsoft / Wintel based solutions.

You'll have overall responsibility for the 2nd and 3rd line technical support and consultancy to internal and external customers and will design and delivery small to large scale infrastructure projects, managing the technical relationship with clients.

What you need to do the role:

Ideally you will have similar experience working within a similar role. We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience of design, configuration and implementing Microsoft Cloud Solutions covering both Microsoft Azure and Microsoft (Office) 365 and PowerShell (essential) / Bash (desirable) scripting.
