What you'll do

You'll provide leadership, strategic direction, business delivery, financial performance and risk management for the team. You'll also be responsible for setting a multi-channel customer acquisition strategy for the business, and representing the business to bank stakeholders and the external market.

You’ll also:

  • Be responsible for all external channels and partnerships, leading external BDM’s and partnerships managers to build strong relationship and drive new business
  • Have accountability for the marketing function, including line management, and ensuring that marketing maximises our growth and scale 
  • Have accountability for the Sales function, driving the teams to deliver excellent customer journeys and increase our customer numbers 
  • Form part of the leadership team and support the business CEO, acting as a deputy to cover annual leave 
  • Execute against the customer acquisition strategy to deliver the financial goals of the business and create sustainable income growth
  • Be responsible for sourcing, on-boarding, and managing new and existing distribution partnership to help accelerate the business' growth
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate closely with all internal and external stakeholders to deliver the business' growth ambitions
  • Work closely with relevant colleagues to ensure alignment between credit and sales strategy
  • Be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and all sales administration from prospecting to signing of legal documentation through effective leadership and line management

The skills you'll need

You'll need a detailed knowledge and understanding of the SME business market, including financial, economic and market awareness. You should also have a high degree of commercial acumen and understanding of the changing economic environment.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of growing a fintech business and a demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit
  • A detailed knowledge and understanding of the broker and introducer market
  • Experience of setting up partnerships
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to sell a vision and unite individuals around a common goal
  • The ability to lead and energise others to make sure that there is a positive culture of supporting enterprise at all levels
