Who you are…

-              Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities

-              NVQ Level 2 qualified or willing to achieve qualification

-              Knowledge of Person Centered Planning, Health Action Plans

-              Able to work on own initiative  and as part of a team

-              Able to work with confidentiality, sensitivity and diplomacy

-              Physically fit, able to undertake practical tasks including assistance with personal care

-              Hold a current full driving license  

Based in Oakham at our Supported Living bungalows, you will be working with residents and providing support to enable them to maintain their independence including assistance with adhering to their tenancy agreement and liaise with representatives from the Housing Association.   

You will also actively support individuals with housing related tasks including cleaning, pet care, plant care, light gardening, personal laundry, ironing, changing of bed sheets, shopping, menu planning, preparing and cooking meals. 

We also welcome applications from individuals who are considering a change in career, as full training will be given along with support to achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Social Care. 

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).  The cost of the DBS is paid for by us.
