About the role

We are looking to recruit a Community Venues Officer, based at The Campus, Weston-super-Mare, but working across North Somerset. The Campus is a multi-use building located in the heart of Locking Castle, Weston-super-Mare.  You will help deliver a range of services from Sports and Leisure to Library and Conferences/Meeting Spaces to a wide variety of users and customers, over several venues in North Somerset.

Working alongside the Campus Community Services Team, you will help to develop and maintain a wide-ranging and inclusive program of events and bookings across a range of venues in North Somerset.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.  Job share would be considered.

This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About you

You will have significant experience of working in a busy customer facing environment and be able to balance work demands within a multi-disciplined environment.  You will help co-ordinate and administrate the wide-ranging programme of block and ad hoc bookings, based across North Somerset that The Campus oversees.  Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills are essential as well as the ability to work unsupervised for much of the time. You will have a clean UK driving license and may be required to cover front facing positions, which may include evenings and weekends.
