Job Description

You manage and lead the Conference Operations team on site, including set up, equipment and general logistics, the end result will be an exceptional service offering and a fantastic customer experience.

In addition, you will ensure standards are maintained to a high standard, and team performance tracked and individual team members be developed. There is also responsibility for ensuring all areas comply with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.

More about the role:
  • To support the operational requirements on site in delivering the conferences to the agreed clients expectations and mandated brand standards
  • To manage the conference function including setup, equipment, general logistics and liaising with the F&B Manager to ensure events are adequately resourced
  • Working efficiently to maintain high standards and increase customer retention for the business but must remain operating within budget requirements
  • To act as the Duty Manager, as and when required
  • Ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the site during your period of duty, with particular attention to services during peak times and ensuring customer and client needs are met
  • To ensure all conference rooms are set as per Client request/function sheet and mandated brand standards
  • Monitor and manage client course material
  • Site security to be maintained at all times and ensure that conference rooms as kept secure
  • Meet and greet conference organisers and ensure they are informed of all housekeeping requirements, including security, fire procedure, etc.
  • Remain vigilant and challenge any suspicious persons on site.
  • All standards to be maintained as per company SOPs
  • Maintain excellent communication with management and team
