Corporate Systems Support and Training Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and innovative individual to join the Corporate Systems Team.
You'll lead all support activities of the systems within the portfolio of responsibility, contribute to organisational and service specific improvement, and support the Council's strategic objectives and transformation goals.
About the role
The successful candidate will provide direct line management of the corporate systems support and training officers to ensure effective delivery of all support and training functions. You will be providing day to day support, training and guidance to end users of the systems in line with agreed policies and working closely with the support desk to identify trends in issues experienced by end users.
A key aspect of the role is resolution of user queries and issues via the call management system, providing expert advice to users and guidance to colleagues within the Corporate Systems team. You will be supporting wide ranging User Acceptance Testing and internal testing for system upgrades and identifying how any changes will impact on the various services using the system.
About you
You will need to possess an excellent understanding of information and workflow based systems and how data collection impacts on statutory and non- statutory reporting requirements. The ability to interrogate reports for data errors and omissions and seek out resolutions, providing support and guidance to users on how to rectify these.
Experience of managing a small team to effectively manage workload to deadlines, create and deliver a robust training and support package to users and create and maintain training and support documentation, such as guides and training scripts. A detailed understanding of GDPR and Information Assurance principles is also essential.
