Job Title: Courseware Developer
Location: HMS Collingwood, Fareham
Business Unit: Marine Training
Purpose of role
To deliver high quality training support (training design and e-courseware development services) in line with Company standards and contractual requirements
You will support the Lead Developer and Deputy Manager (FTU) in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of the courseware for the FTU, developing innovative and engaging course content utilising industry-standard software / rapid authoring tools for delivery on multiple platforms, including tablet and mobile phone.
You will work with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs, devise modes of assessment to measure effectiveness of training, ensuring conditions and standards are met, conduct the maintenance and validation of training documentation, review and analyse TNA's in accordance with mandated FTU Document and Review Management Plan (DRMP) and monitor assigned courses to maintain accreditation requirements iaw FTU mandated policies.
You will collaborate with OEMs, external authorities and other third parties as required to ensure the efficient production of online content to budget and to an agreed timeline, attend OEM Design Reviews, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to check training equipment compliance against agreed training requirements, review product / courseware to ensure alignment with current requirements and standards and deliver interim training courses in a field of expertise either locally or off-site.
Required skills, experience and qualifications
You will require a Level 3 Certificate (or recognised MOD equivalent) in Education and Training along with comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles, a relevant higher education qualification (FD, HND or Degree) and consolidated experience of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) and JSP 822.
We would also lie you to have experience creating engaging, effective multi-media training about complex technical topics, experience in developing technology-based design solutions (e-learning, multimedia), consolidated experience of professional web authoring software / rapid authoring tools, knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and a service background .
