The Credit Risk Stress Testing Analyst is responsible for the forecasting of losses and capital requirements of the Retail or Corporate portfolios under a stress. This includes, but is not limited to, the annual BoE Concurrent Stress Test, ICAAP, the bi-annual EBA stress and Climate Stress Tests ad-hoc/what if analysis.

The difference you'll make

  • Reviewing and challenge of the model output.

  • Maintaining a set of control checks that can be undertaken for each model run

  • Developing a good understanding of both the Accounting Standards that impact the provisioning processes and Regulatory Guidance that impacts the capital calculations.

  • Engaging with other risk areas such as forecasting, portfolio management, collections

  • Willing to work with others and follow through until identified issues are resolved

What you'll bring

  • High degree of mathematical literacy, with a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline (for example Maths, Statistics, Sciences, Engineering or Operational Research) or relevant experience in the financial sector.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel

It would also be nice for you to have

  • Preferable to have experience working within the credit risk

  • An understanding of financial analysis, planning and modelling.

  • An understanding of the various stages of the stress testing process
