We pride ourselves on a high-quality service, often supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society - and as a member of our Customer Service team you'll ensure that we continue to deliver this incredibly important work with us at our partnership with Peterborough City Council.
You will provide an efficient, effective and customer focussed first point of contact for customers telephoning and emailing Customer Services. You will be knowledgeable and professional covering a range of council services, managing customer contacts in an efficient, effective and caring manner whilst ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered.
What you'll need to do the role:
We are looking for candidates who can communicate effectively by telephone and in writing. You will need to be able to work constructively with others and remain calm in a pressurised environment. To be successful in the role you will have previous experience using databases to extract, record, and relay information relating to customer enquiries, and ideally you will have experience of working in a customer service/call centre environment for at least 1 year.
Most importantly you must be a naturally strong and resilient character as sometimes the information you will be privy to will be highly confidential and very sensitive. We are looking for candidates who are flexible, adaptable, and open to change whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
