  • In this key role, you’ll be contributing to the design, planning, coordination and facilitation of the delivery of software packages or products
  • You’ll ensure the successful delivery of deployments into the live production of software packages or products from the feature or platform teams

What you'll do

In your new role, you’ll be delivering the successful deployment of software products or packages, building in quality as an integral part of all activities and making sure that the desired customer experiences and outcomes are achieved.

Your role will also involve:

  • Achieving approval of the implementation approach and creating a detailed implementation plan for delivering each software and work package, enabling a continuous deployment approach
  • Defining and undertaking readiness activity, making sure that all required logistics for the implementation event are fully planned and cascaded across all relevant stakeholders
  • Actively managing risk, issues, assumptions and dependencies and signing off and cascading a contingency approach
  • Attending feature team planning sessions, and working with the teams to understand upcoming work and making sure that plans are optimised
  • Making sure that all activities are carried out, coordinated and validated in line with the implementation plan during the deployment
  • Lead disaster recovery exercises, infrastructure hardware/software decommissioning initiatives and remediation of legacy applications and infrastructure migrations

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for a capable communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders, with experience of deployment in a technology or IT environment. You’ll have excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

We’ll also look for you to have:

  • 8-12 years of experience in developing strategies for deployment of new hardware or software systems and ensure a smooth and efficient flow of events
  • Research and analyse technical requirements from different teams to create implementation plans, assess impact and risk to systems and customers, formulate plans for any worst case scenario, develop schedule of events, arrange for technical resources to support the deployment by following the governance processes set by the bank
  • A good understanding of Agile methodologies
  • A good understanding and proven experience of P3M tools and methodologies
  • The ability to relate everyday work to the strategic vision of the feature team, with a strong focus on business outcomes
  • Coordinate with business teams to gather resources for doing checkouts post implementation, confirming checkout plans adhering to the deployment, gather any approvals on system outages
