Here at E.ON we have an exciting new role to join our marketing team, you will play an integral part in delivering best in class brand campaigns through the delivery of research & design led user experiences. Driving the creation of compelling brand experiences across eonenergy.com whilst contributing to the broader brand experiences across owned, earned & paid channel activity.

In this role you will be working with the broader team on target audiences, create user personas, user journeys and site maps and be responsible for driving testing standards through the design process embedding regular use of usability testing and multi-variate testing to validate end-to-end design in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement.

Alongside this you will be working in partnership with the brand digital content lead, brand campaign lead and agency partners, you will be responsible for designing on-site user experiences to support brand campaign goals, facilitating user experience focussed workshops with stakeholders and agency partners and working closely with brand digital content lead to continuously improve the standards of existing design system, reviewing patterns and components.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead for digital brand UX/UI on campaigns, programmes and projects.
  • Lead on creation and define of requirements for agency partners & internal digital delivery teams.
  • Create digital experience focussed KPIs to compliment the broader brand performance framework.
  • Accountable for digital experience design for all brand campaign activity across eonenergy.com domain.
  • Create and embed new specialist discipline within the content & performance team.
  • Accountable for driving UX knowledge share and upskill of digital brand content team.
  • Manage delivery through collaboration with multiple partner agencies and internal specialist teams.
  • Lead digital UX/UI requirements for all brand campaign activity.
  • Key contributor to the management of digital design library at E.ON.
  • Support creation of relevant investment business cases to drive standards of UX at E.ON.
  • Management of multiple project deliverables.
  • Day to day working with digital content, SEO, PR, social & brand campaign teams.
  • Regular showcasing of thought leadership and delivery for Brand marketing leadership team.


As a UX designer, you'll use technical aptitude, visual awareness and a range of specialist software tools to create accessible, aesthetically appealing and meaningful omnichannel experiences.
This UX design job is aimed at a UX designer with extensive knowledge, you must be able to showcase a portfolio that outlines the four key processes of:

  • User research
  • Design
  • Testing
  • Implementation

 As well as your track record and experience in digital product design. Your knowledge, passion and practical experience for human-centred design methodology in product and service design with an inclusive design mindset in everything you do.

  • Experience in using specialist tools such as Axure, InVision, Marvel, OmniGraffle, Sketch in addition to the Adobe product suite.
  • Experience of understanding and interpreting brand guidelines.
  • Experience of designing new patterns and components to contribute to existing design systems.
  • Evidence of proficiency in UX, UI and interaction design techniques.
  • Evidence of proficiency in creating prototypes to support user research, stakeholders and design team decision making.
  • Experience of interpreting user research feedback to inform user journeys and UI design.
  • Experience of planning, documenting, and communicating the design process and concepts in a clear, concise manner.
  • Proficient user of digital analytical tools such as google analytics.
  • Previous experience of delivering test & learn activity through optimisation tools such as Adobe Target.
  • Experience of delivering personalised digital experiences to multiple segment audiences.
  • Proven track record of bringing to life the business value of brilliant digital experiences.
