Job Description

As our Director of Sales you will take responsibility for the achievement of the revenue target for your venue whilst supporting the other properties in the collection.

Create and implement a cohesive, pro-active, Sales & Marketing Plan for your venue.

As a member of the Venue's Senior Management team, play an active role in the development of the venue's Business Plan.

Build long term, profitable client relationships with your accounts that enable account revenue growth and retention.

Hotel and account management experience essential.

More about the role:
  • Responsible for developing a sales culture for the venue, acting as the sales ambassador demonstrating expertise and motivation
  • Take responsibility, attend and contribute to the sales strategy meeting
  • Update and own the sales and marketing plan in conjunction with the GM
  • Be the visible sales leader within your venue
  • Communicate with your GM daily, communicating your activities
  • Achieve personal key performance indicators and objectives
  • Be fully engaged with the TVC sales and marketing plan and also the Lime Venue Portfolio (LVP) sales activity calendar
  • Ensure you are conversant with your property's sales forecast and need periods so that pro-active activity can be undertaken
  • Participate in the weekly hot bookings call and ensure action is taken to support the conversion of bookings
  • Run a monthly conversion day setting targets and reporting the outcome in coordination with the SOM
  • Be aware of the weekly showround diary and ensure that you are on hand to
  • support the team on significant show rounds
  • Research and profile local market clients and ensure they are targeted for business
  • Generate showrounds as per your target  to take place within the venue and ensure follow up calls have taken place
  • Carry out comprehensive competitor analysis for your property in order to be aware of future market risks and opportunities to capture market share
  • Work with the venue teams to acquire and follow up on all sales leads
  • Attend relevant events and exhibitions as required
  • Attend relevant internal/external/company sales meetings
  • Undertake/assist with special TVC projects on an ad hoc basis
Who you are:
  • To be successful in this role, it is essential that you are naturally confident, highly driven and have a focused and ambitious nature
  • You will have a proven track record of developing and winning new C&E and corporate business
  • A track record of retaining and growing existing customers
  • A strong understanding of the C&E UK market
  • The ideal candidate will also previously have worked within the hotel/hospitality sector
  • It is desirable that you are familiar with the local C&E agency sector
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative with minimal supervision - be self-motivated and committed
  • Demonstrate tenacity and resilience
  • The role requires flexibility with regards to working hours
  •  You may be required to travel to all TVC properties which may require overnight stays
