About the role


Here at Babcock's Defence Teaching Training School we are now recruiting for a Driving and Maintenance Instructor. In collaboration with the Army, this facility delivers training courses varied from two to twelve weeks on defence vehicles such as Bulldog 432 series, Trojan, Titan and Terrier. Over the course of the year, we deliver over 17,000 days' worth of training.


The successful candidate for this role will report into the Group Manager and will be responsible for delivering high quality of teaching to all students assuring that Babcock exceeds all the requirements put in place. Running in this respected programme will involve running theoretical and practical courses on 3-4 different type of vehicles. Naturally, a small proportion of admin duties will be a part of the role too.

What do I need to do the role?


In order to be considered, applicants must hold AFD D&M Regimental Instructor Qualifications. Ideally, we also look for Level 3 Award in Education & Training (equivalent or higher), however there is a possibility for a successful candidate to pick this qualification up once in post.


What else do I need to know?


* The successful candidate must be willing to go through a SC clearance.
* This role is predominantly based on site, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm however on average 2/3 times per course a night driving session will be required where a time in lieu will be returned.
