Working as a Guest Service Supervisor the hourly rate on offer for the role is £10.80 per hour (plus gratuities which are shared across the team/ and you will also be included in our fantastic upselling program).

As a permanent contracted Team Member, you will enjoy time and a half for any overtime, including bank holidays.

At the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian, we are proud to guarantee every team member at the hotel a UK Hilton Minimum Wage of at least £10 per hour!

In the event of relocation from a different part of the UK or further, we can offer comfortable en -suite accommodation, on property until you find your new home (subject to availability).

As a Team Member for the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian you are responsible for overseeing your department to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience in accordance with the True Waldorf Service Standards.

  • Supervise and deliver Front Office operations to high standards
  • Serve as a point of contact for regular and VIP Guests
  • Complete daily admin duties
  • Welcome guests on arrival, deal with during stay queries and handle departure - all to standard.
  • Supervise, lead and coach the front line team to reach their potential
  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
  • Represent the Front of House Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel and helping keep our guests and team safe
  • Your will usually work 5 days from 7, although this will change for business needs, requests etc.
  • Shifts are usually Early, Mid or Late and periodic night cover will also be scheduled.
