About this opportunity

This assignment is an 18 to 24 month engagement working as an Owner’s Engineer on an EPC project that will be built in Beaumont, TX.  Project is a small process plant with integrated support facilities. Project is funded and Detail Engineering is scheduled to start immediately.  Detail Engineering will be performed offshore and reviewed/commented on by Owner’s Engineer in the US.  Owner’s Engineer will be a work from home during the engineering phase (10 months) and then move to Beaumont, TX during the construction phase.

Discipline: Electrical Engineer
Minimum Requirement:
  • 10 years of professional Electrical Engineering experience
  • BS Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited University
  • Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in TX
Experience: 
  • Establish design requirements for all electrical facilities including but not limited to:
    • Power Substation
    • In-plant power distribution
    • Motor and Process Control (PLC) Systems
  • Confirm compliance with design requirements - local and national codes/rules/regulations/standards (NFPA 70, API and OSHA)
  • Review, comment and approve all fault calculations, power distribution designs, relay coordination, grounding, control systems (PLC) and all other electrical work products generated by the offshore engineer.
  • Review all electrical bid tabulations and approve prior to purchase orders being issued.
  • As Owner’s Engineer - responsible for all Electrical design/build activities not as the engineer of record but instead as Owner’s representative.
