Engineer (Highways Operations)

Sunderland City Council are looking to appoint to the permanent position of Engineer in the Highways Operations Team.

The position will be filled by a person able to deliver front-line services and improved co-ordination/delivery of mainstream services that are responsive to local needs.  They will prepare, design, and implement highway schemes, and provide contract and site management working to both internal teams and external contractors.

Office/site based

- Must hold a full UK/ EEC Driving Licence
- Must be prepared to work in all weathers.
- Must be able/ prepared to meet the travel requirements of the post
- Must be prepared to work flexible/ additional hours to meet the needs of the business
