Here at Cavendish Nuclear, we are currently recruiting for an Engineering Lead (Bids).

In this role, you will lead the planning, management and delivery of multi-discipline bids involving the management, coordination and integration of multi-discipline tasks. This role leads the engineering team to deliver technical solutions to budget, targets, and estimating the engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). The management responsibilities include the identification and development of strategic capabilities (people, processes, methods and tools) to meet project and task objectives

The primary area of accountability will be to lead the development of innovative technical solutions and submission of winning bids. This will require strong team and internal stakeholder management skills - as well as often engaging external supply-chain/partners. The role is accountable for management, control and delivery of engineering activities within Bids. At this level, projects feature the requirement to control and integrate are multi-discipline tasks and work packages. The role may be required to be a Technical / Design Authority, providing assurance for a project or range of assets.


Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

You will have previous experience in an Engineering Project delivery role within the Nuclear industry sector.

Also, you will be a Chartered Engineer in your field, who has worked at Engineering Manager or Principal Engineer level on EPC projects.

Experience in providing the technical input into major bids is highly desirable

You will have excellent organisation skills, fine attention to detail and be comfortable in working to multiple deadlines.
