Candidates do not necessarily need to have every one of the skills that we are seeking. What is more important to us is that candidates are willing to do all of the above activities as required, contribute their ideas to help drive the initiative forward, and are open to learning in areas where they lack experience. A ‘can-do’ attitude and transferable skills is more important that complete experience in all the above areas. We will provide the required training; but need candidates to be willing to take on any of the tasks as required.
It is important however that candidates possess a certain amount of analytic ability, as the team is dealing with structured information. A degree of conceptual thinking is also important. Experience of programming will be an advantage (the language is immaterial) as some of the customisations that we use are implemented in a scripting language. Some experience of user interface design, or tailoring presentations to meet the needs of different kinds of stakeholders, would also be helpful. What’s in it for you?
