Job Description

The Experience St Andrews is a provider of luxury golf tours which guarantees your round on the Old Course, St Andrews, though our appointment as an Authorised Provider of Old Course Tee Times by the St Andrews Links Trust.

As our Event Manager and a member of the TESA Event Management team, you will be delivering an outstanding customer experience to both our customers and suppliers. You will be on the front line of our business will be responsible for encouraging customer loyalty and ensuring the TESA brand values are represented at all times. Working as part of a talented, ambitious, and highly collaborative team you will be the first point of contact for any pre and post travel questions, queries and frontline complaints; communicating with customers and suppliers via telephone, email, chat and social media.


This role would suit a very organised, proactive and driven Event Manager with local golf experience and knowledge who would like the opportunity to build and develop their skills and be responsible for the delivery and management of all assigned clients and golf tour programmes as well as other assigned areas of responsibility.

More about the role:
  • Work with our iconic venues to organise and support the delivery from - end to end - of bespoke golfing tour packages
  • Develop and maintain excellent levels of product knowledge across the UK & Ireland and regularly share knowledge with Operations Manager and Sales team
  • Liaise and assist with customer requirements pre-event, on-day and post event
  • Set up all events, facilities, documentation, guides and any other literature relating to the programmes with the support of marketing function
  • Provide day to day liaison with courses, hotels, venues, transport and all other invested parties pre-season and throughout the season as requested by and in order to support Golf Services Manager
  • Manage and liaise with all suppliers to ensure accurate ordering and within budget
  • Manage a close and professional relationship with our suppliers developing strong repour with the relevant contacts and teams
  • Be responsible for all stock allocations and mark backs meeting all contractual deadlines and obligations
  • Be responsible for all allocated programmes' credit control ensuring all clients payments are received on time and all suppliers are paid in line with contractual obligations
  • Update existing customer information in CRM & make contact with previous clients/customers
  • Support the review of innovation/product content including mapping customer journey, market trends and competitor analysis and client feedback
  • Regular team meetings and 1-2-1's with the Operations Manager
  • Daily support for all other peers and Event Project Manager
  • Onsite support and meetings with clients to continue building rapport and representing as the face of TESA for end-to-end delivery
Who you are:
  • Be organised with a keen attention to detail
  • Have at least 2 years of hands on operational experience within an Events led company
  • Have a positive and proactive mindset
  • Enjoy working within a fun, energetic and buzzy environment
  • Bring innovation and ideas to the team, being proactive in decision making
  • Be a strong communicator across all mediums - we need confidence and can-do attitude
  • Ambitious and driven with a clear determination and belief to install these qualities to other team members
  • Have a firm understanding of how to use event management programmes such as CEMs / and be fully competent with the full Microsoft Office package.
  • Understand working to budget and financial forecasting's (P&L's for all events)
  • Be a team player, we have a strong element of focus on team work so you must be prepared to get stuck in and be involved
  • Enjoy building relationships with clients and delivering legendary experiences for our customers
