Rutland County Council Property Services department are looking to recruit a Facilities Supervisor to work with our dedicated team of staff providing help and assistance to those accessing and using our buildings.  Are you someone who takes pleasure in making sure things run efficiently?  About the role…

We provide facilities support to a diverse portfolio of property that includes commercial business parks, corporate offices through to historic public access buildings that are occupied by colleagues, visitor, services users, Council Members and a broad range of commercial tenants.

You will lead a small team of premises staff to ensure our buildings are efficiently maintained, operational and secure in accordance with business needs whilst assisting occupiers with essential soft facilities support to achieve their service targets.

Although some of our property assets operate extended hours, the facilities team routinely work a two-shift pattern of earlies and lates, 5 days a week to ensure flexibility of access and support to our occupiers.  The Facilities Supervisor will periodically be required to participate in this shift pattern to assist with absence cover or supervision arrangements in addition to providing out-of-hours’ duty support as required.

Please note, you will require a full driving licence to be able to travel to all our sites in Rutland.

 

The Facilities Supervisor Interviews will be held on 20 & 21 February 2025.  Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.

To be successful in this role, you may have experience working in roles that have required customer facing support, property related environments such as caretaking, property maintenance or commercial soft services or hotel support provision, supervision of 3rd parties such as contractors or staff.

Due to the nature of the role, it will be necessary for the successful candidate to be based primarily in Oakham, although occasional travel to other sites within Rutland will also be necessary to deliver our service.
